Formerly Executive Director of the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum.  He was Project Director and researcher for the Burton Blatt Institute (BBI), of the Syracuse University College of Law. His projects focused on Community Engagement in Crisis Response.  Joe teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in both the School of Information Studies and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management.  Joe has more than 25 years experience in information technology, government and not for profit services as consultant and as senior management.  He earned his PhD in information science and technology from the School of Information Studies, at Syracuse University. Research interests include communication and collaboration in crisis response, information assurance, cyber security issues, intelligence and information sharing within and across organizations, and inclusion.
